Wellington tech hub to host evening for young entrepreneurs
Wellington tech hub CreativeHQ is hosting a ‘Startup War Stories’ panel discussion on May 23rd. The event will feature renowned angel investor Trevor Dickinson and local young entrepreneurs Steph Benseman (Filtr) and Jordan Lilley (Leaping Tiger) sharing their stories and lessons about good and bad times as entrepreneurs and investors.
The event is being co-hosted by First Cut Ventures, a student-led angel fund that invests in founders under the age of 30. Founded in Auckland in 2015, the group aims to support and invest in young entrepreneurs around the country.
Benseman, who started her graduate recruitment startup Filtr during youth accelerator Venture Up, says she hopes to share her stories and encourage other young Wellington entrepreneurs.
"I'm excited to share a different perspective of entrepreneurship; it's a career that requires a whole other level of hard work and dedication but once you're aware of that it makes the journey so much more exciting."
More information about the event, including registration, can be found here.
