Whakatane Retrievals
The Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to Whakatane Hospital at 8am and 8pm today. The first mission was for a 51yr old Gisborne woman with a suspected spinal injury as a result of a car crash. The second flight was for a 20yr old Kawerau woman with facial injuries after crashing off a motocross bike. Both woman were seriously injured and transported under care of an ICU retrieval team back to Waikato Hospital.
