Colliers Rural and Hawke’s Bay Tourism team up for the Spring Fling.
Colliers International Rural and Agribusiness will team up with Hawke’s Bay Tourism this year to become an associate
sponsor of ‘The Spring Fling’ in Central Hawke’s Bay.
The Spring Fling is an annual festival showcasing the best of Central Hawke’s Bay in September and October. Events are
held over the two-month period right across the district and attract visitors from not only the wider Hawke’s Bay Region
but also from around New Zealand.
The event caught of the eye of Colliers Rural and Agribusiness Manager Director, Hadley Brown who felt that it was a
perfect partnership for the business which was established in Central Hawke’s Bay in September last year, after
extending their presence to Waipukurau from existing offices in Napier and Havelock North.
Mr Brown says the Colliers Rural and Agribusiness Central Hawke’s Bay agent James Parsons and administrator Jane Taylor
are both fully involved in the local rural community and The Spring Fling, which celebrates the best of the area, was a
natural fit.
“While our brand has strong national and international connections, our team are all locals who are passionate about
Central Hawke’s Bay and what it can offer residents and tourists alike. We are looking forward to hosting our clients at
the many fantastic events that are offered within the Spring Fling programme and showcasing our great little corner of
the country to visitors.”
Now in its third year, The Spring Fling has seen continued growth in both event attendees and the number of events held
with 19 events and over 5500 attending a Spring Fling offering in 2016.
Hawke’s Bay Tourism’s Coordinator for Central Hawke’s Bay Trudy Hales is thrilled with the partnership, “We’re really
proud that our Spring Fling event has excited the Colliers Rural and Agribusiness team and we can’t wait to work with
them on this year’s event.”

attracted this kind of partnership is a testament to how the event is evolving and the hard work and passion of our
local operators and event managers.”
Porangahau will again feature heavily in the program, as will the Labour Weekend celebrations commemorating Waipukurau’s
150th anniversary. The Taniwha Daffodils Display, and Central Hawke’s Bay – The Festival are also part of the program
again and are very much visitor favourites.
The event will also feature a special ‘Colliers Spring Ride’ on the Central Hawke’s Bay Tukituki Trail, details of this
event and the full Spring Fling program will be released in July with tickets on sale later that month.
