Around 350 Customers without Power for Another 1 Or 2 Days

6.30pm update: SUPPLY RESTORED TO MOST CUSTOMERS TONIGHT - AROUND 350 CUSTOMERS WITHOUT POWER FOR ANOTHER 1 OR 2 DAYS
Since our last update, a number of customers have had supply restored.
Approximately 600 homes across the Gisborne Tairawhiti region are still without power. However, we expect that 200 customers in the Te Puia/Waipiro Bay area, and 70 customers in the Tukemokihi area, will have their power restored this evening.
Unfortunately, around 350 homes will be left without power overnight.
Crews will continue restoration work early in the morning, with priority being given to repairing faults that have the most significant effect on the most customers.
Because of continuing access issues, and the sheer number of faults in some areas, there is a chance that our teams won't be able to repair all the faults until Sunday or Monday.
To those who continue to be affected, we thank them again for their patience. We're doing everything we can to get their power back on as quickly (and safely) as possible.
We'll provide regular updates on FB.
Call 0800 206 207 to report any more electricity supply issues, and treat all lines and electrical equipment as live at all times. Thank you.
