Annual plan opens for consultation

Annual plan opens for consultation

Councillors adopted council’s Annual Plan Update today. The Update is a summary of the Council’s plans for 2017-18.

Mayor John Leggett says Council is keen to hear from the public.

“Although we’re not putting forward significant new proposals this year, we’d still like to hear from you about what we’re doing.

Also, let us know what you would like Council to consider as it prepares its Long Term Plan later this year.”

Submissions must be received by 5.00 pm on 10 May.

The Annual Plan Update, submission form and supporting information are available online at www.marlborough.govt.nz/Your-Council/Consultation-Listing.

The update is also available in print from Council offices and libraries, and published in the Blenheim Sun on Friday 7 April and the Marlborough Midweek on Wednesday 12 April.

Submissions can be made online. Alternatively, you can send your submission to Annual Plan Feedback, Marlborough District Council, 15 Seymour St, PO Box 443, Blenheim, or email nicole.chauval@marlborough.govt.nz

If you would like to speak to councillors in person about your submission, let us know this in your submission by 10 May. Hearings will be held from 6 to 8 June. Council will consider submissions on 12 June, and will adopt the plan on 29 June.

ENDS.
