Community Project Fund now open

Community Project Fund now open

Marlborough’s smaller centres have a chance to apply to Council for funding for minor improvements or amenities which would benefit their community.

The Council has set aside some funding for small, low-cost projects in the outdoors which the public can enjoy. Examples of projects already funded include the new outdoor gym equipment for Havelock and the landscaping at Anakiwa.

Applications must be received by 13 March 2017. There’s more information about the funding and the application process on the Council website http://www.marlborough.govt.nz/Our-Community/Small-Townships-Programme

Council’s Community Advisor – Marlborough Townships, Adi James, says a copy of the information and application form is available for remote communities which may not have good internet connection. Residents may phone the Council to request material be posted to them.

ENDS.
