Kāpiti EOC partially activated
There is no current tsunami threat to us in
Kāpiti but we want people to be safe, so please stay away
from the beaches.
We are currently working in the Kapiti
Emergency Operations centre and our information is from Wellington
Region Emergency Management Office (WREMOnz) via
Ministry of Civil Defence and Emergency Managament.
If
you feel a long and strong earthquake at any time and are
worried, please activate your tsunami evacuation plan. We'll
keep you updated as we know more!
Keep an eye on our
Facebook page or WREMOnz for more
