Two dead in Northland helicopter crash

Helicopter Crash – Northland
Police are currently in attendance at a fatal helicopter crash in Glenbervie Forest, North of Whangarei.
Emergency services were called just after 2pm today, after a helicopter was reported overdue and its emergency beacon had been activated.
The bodies of two people have been located deceased.
At this stage it is not known what the helicopter was doing at the time of the crash and police are now working to identify the deceased and notify next of kin.
A further update is expected later today.
