Whenuapai’s approved structure plan released
Whenuapai residents and businesses are invited to attend the launch of the approved Whenuapai Structure Plan at the Whenuapai Village Hall on 10 November, starting at 7.30pm.
Council planners and technical experts will be on hand to explain the main points of the plan. The next step in the development process is a proposed plan change to rezone the land. Development can start once the re-zoning is operative.
The structure plan provides guidelines for the urban development of Whenuapai which is recognised in the Future Urban Land Supply Strategy as able to supply 1800 dwellings between 2017 and 2021. In the years to 2041, Whenuapai is anticipated to have between 8100 to 9600 dwellings and approximately 8600 jobs.
The structure plan area is identified within the Rural Urban Boundary and zoned Future Urban in the Proposed Auckland Unitary Plan Decisions Version.
Copies of the structure plan document will be available at the meeting. It can also be viewed and downloaded from the council website at www.aucklandcouncil.govt.nz/strategies after 10 November 2016.
