Nelson Police looking for information after cyclist injured on Haven Road
Nelson Police are looking for information after a cyclist has been injured due to hitting debris on Haven Road, Beachville.
The incident happened at around 10.30am this morning near a truck stop on Haven Road.
The cyclist has hit two pieces of concrete while riding in the cycling lane.
After hitting the concrete the cyclist has fallen from their bike and he has now been taken to hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.
Police believe the concrete has come from a ute or vehicle with a trailer and would like to hear from anyone who has seen a vehicle in the area with a load on concrete on the back.
It is thought that the debris was only lost on the road this morning and would have come from a vehicle heading east on Haven Road towards the intersection that takes traffic to Nelson and Blenheim.
Anyone with information is asked to call Nelson Police on 03 545 9869.
