Support local talent and a local charity by coming along to the Buskathon 4 StarJam Live Event at your local Rockshop
onSaturday 29 October!
StarJam is a not-for-profit that has been working with young people with disabilities (Jammers) since 2002. It currently
has around 400 Jammers participating in musical workshops in Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington, Hamilton and Tauranga
each week.
Buskathon 4 StarJam events will be taking place at nine Rockshops around New Zealand between 1pm-3:30pm on Saturday 29
October. The free event will feature performances from our own young people (Jammers), up and coming musicians and
well-known New Zealanders. It is hoped attendees will donate to the Buskers in order to raise funds for StarJam. The
Rapid Relief Team will have food and drink available for purchase. It will be a fun family day out.
StarJam CEO, Mary Ansell is very excited about the upcoming event – “Buskathon 4 StarJam ticks all the boxes for us; it is about music within a fun environment, our Jammers have the
opportunity to perform and show people what they “can” do, it raises the StarJam profile and helps raise funds to ensure
we are able to continue our wonderful weekly workshops with the aim to open more workshops for other would be Jammers.”
