Suspicious death - Whangarei
At approximately 6.40am this morning police were called to the Whangarei St John Ambulance Station.
Upon arrival they were informed by ambulance staff that a man had been dropped off in a critical condition and has since died.
Whangarei Police are now making enquiries and have established a cordon at the Ambulance Station.
At this stage, Police are treating the death as suspicious and enquiries are underway to identify the victim.
A post mortem will likely be carried out tomorrow to establish the cause of death.
Our enquiries will not impact on the ambulance station.
A further update will provided later this afternoon.
