Huntly’s Riverview Road now open
Riverview Road, Huntly, has been cleared and the road is now open,
Huntly received 90 millimetres of rain over a two hour period on Sunday, which resulted in several slips on Riverview Road.
Civil Defence Local Controller Merv Balloch said at the time it was an “extreme weather event”.
Waikato District Council’s roading crew have worked hard to clear the road. With rain currently falling in the district, Council will continue to monitor the situation closely.
