Never a Better Time to Vote
Never a Better Time to Vote
Saturday 1
October, it’s national Vote Day.
It’s a week out from the close of voting in the 2016 local body elections and in Auckland 18.3 per cent of votes are in as we countdown to midday Saturday 8 October.
Auckland Council is going to the people with a big push this weekend to excite, motivate and create a buzz around voting to increase turnout.
Look up, we’re taking to the skies, weather permitting, to remind Aucklanders to do what they say they’re going to do, VOTE.
And to
follow the crowd, we’re at Sylvia Park, so look out for
the Love Bus outside one of the mall’s main entrances;
stop by, learn about voting and even better,
VOTE.
Voting is easy! Simply tick the
preferred candidates on your voting document, put it in the
envelope and post in the on-board ballot box in the
kombi.
National Vote Day is part of the Vote2016 campaign to lift voter turnout and Auckland Council is creating as many options to vote as possible, giving Aucklanders the best chance to have their say in shaping the place they live.
To show your love, VOTE.
