End-of-term Wellington City Council meeting to be live-streamed tonight - and Mayor Celia Wade-Brown's portrait will be unveiled
Tonight’s full meeting of the Wellington City Council (starting 5.30pm) will be live-streamed on Wellington City Council’s website – follow this link:

Highlights of the meeting will be valedictory speeches from Mayor Celia Wade-Brown and Councillors Ray Ahipene-Mercer and Mark Peck.
New Zealand Rugby will also present the city with a specially designed Taiaha as part of the lead up to the DHL NZ British & Irish Lions Series matches in Wellington next year.
The meeting agenda also includes final discussion of the Council’s 2015-16 Annual Report and an update on the Council’s Resilience Strategy.
After the meeting Mayor Wade-Brown will unveil her Mayoral portrait – which will be hung in the foyer of the Council’s committee rooms along with the portraits of her three predecessors, Mayors Kerry Prendergast, Mark Blumsky and Fran Wilde.
