Court appearance following incident in Stokes Valley overnight
An 18-year-old Waikanae man will appear in Lower Hutt District Court today on a range of charges following an incident in Stokes Valley in the early hours of this morning.
The man will face charges in relation to burglary, unlawfully taking a motor vehicle, excess breath alcohol, failing to remain stopped for Police, failing to stop when required, dangerous driving, failing to stop to ascertain injury and injuring with intent.
A Police officer suffered minor injuries when attempting to stop the alleged offender at the scene.
The officer was assessed and treated by ambulance staff and is continuing to receive support from Police.
