22-year-old man killed in Te Kuiti crash overnight
Investigations into a crash overnight which claimed the life of a 22-year-old man in Te Kuiti are continuing.
The crash happened just after 9pm when a car travelling on SH30 in Kopaki crashed into a ditch.
Due to the crash the driver was thrown from the vehicle, the man landed on the road and was struck by another vehicle.
The two passengers in the car suffered minor injuries as a result of the initial crash.
The Serious Crash Unit are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Police offer their sympathies to the friends and family of the deceased at this sad time.
