The day is almost here!
World Suicide Prevention Day in Dunedin is happening this Saturday, Sep 10th, at 1pm, at the Glenroy Auditorium.
It's all about the community and the people. Our theme this year is 'Connect, Communicate, Care'. We aim to include everyone and give voice to people who have lost loved ones to suicide or who are struggling with suicidal thoughts or struggling to get access to services.
We have 5 fabulous speakers passionate on suicide prevention and postvention, beautiful music performances, 'love-token ceremony', we will also light 567 candles to represent lives lost in New Zealand this year, and there will be time to share with others our experiences and thoughts. Your voice is important to us.
We will also project a slideshow with photos of our loved ones lost to suicide. If you would like to share yours feel free to email the photo to us tolifematterssptrust@gmail.com , even if you cannot attend the event.
We hope to see you there, and feel free to invite your mates, whanau, neighbour or family. Together we are stronger.
