Mark Fletcher still sought by Police

Police are still wanting to locate Mark Andrew Fletcher and are appealing for him to hand himself in.

Mr Fletcher, 39, has a warrant to arrest and is actively avoiding Police after fleeing a Northland address on Thursday, August 25.

Police have released an updated image of Mr Fletcher today.

Detective Sergeant Megan Goldie says a member of Fletcher’s family has also told Police they are concerned for him.

“We’ve been told by this family member that they really want him to come out of hiding and hand himself in to Police, as they’re concerned for his wellbeing,” says Ms Goldie.

“Mr Fletcher is believed to be in the Rodney district and has extensive contacts in that area.

Information we have received suggests he may now be armed, and we ask that people should not approach him if sighted and instead contact Police immediately on 111.”

Mr Fletcher is wanted to arrest for breaching his Court release conditions, for an alleged domestic assault, for breach of a protection order, assaults and attempted kidnapping.

He is described as a male Caucasian, 170cm tall, of medium build.
