Rocky Horror Picture Show Fancy Dress Film Night
The Titirangi Residents & Ratepayers Association invite you to shake off the winter blues at their fancy dress fundraiser at Lopdell House Theatre on Saturday 16 July. The evening features the cult classic film the Rocky Horror Picture Show and a good excuse for a dress-up. There will be a prize for the best dressed and a raffle with fantastic prizes kindly donated by local businesses which include $200 of grocery vouchers from Super Value Titirangi, a term’s acting enrolment at the Green Room for an adult or child (worth $160) from Tigerstew Productions / The Green Room, $40 of gift vouchers from Gecko in the Village, breakfast for two at The Hardware Cafe, a pedicure voucher from Tonic Skin Body Spa, some lovely cushions from That Little Shop, champagne & a photo print of the winning costume from Optic Mix.
Doors and the bar open at 7pm and the film starts at 8pm. Tickets are strictly limited and must be booked in advance at: https://www.eventbrite.co.nz/e/rocky-horror-picture-show-fancy-dress-film-night-tickets-25853480456. There will be no door sales.
Tickets are $22.70 and include free entries into the raffle (and booking fee). Nibbles will be provided, drinks can be purchased from the Theatre bar (cash & Eftpos).
Funds raised will go towards printing of the historical tour brochure for Titirangi developed by the Titirangi Residents & Ratepayers Association and the West Auckland Historical Society.

Rocky Horror Picture Show: In this cult classic, sweethearts Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon), stuck with a flat tyre during a storm, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry), a transvestite scientist. As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker (Meat Loaf) and a creepy butler (Richard O'Brien).. Through elaborate dances and rock songs, Frank-N-Furter unveils his latest creation: a muscular man named "Rocky."
