Chair Designate For CCHL Announced

Chair Designate For Christchurch City Holdings Limited Announced
Christchurch City Holdings Limited (CCHL) are pleased to announce that Jeremy Smith has been selected by Council to be the Chair Designate of Christchurch City Holdings Limited.
Jeremy will take his place at the CCHL board table in August 2016 and work alongside the current Chairman, Bruce Irvine, for several months until he takes over as Chairman in 2017.
Jeremy is currently the Chairman of Orion New Zealand Limited and Holmes Group Limited. He is also a director of Barhill Chertsey Irrigation Limited, Farra Engineering Ltd and Water Utilities Ashburton Limited. He was previously the Managing Director of Holcim New Zealand Limited.
Jeremy will continue as the Chair of Orion until a replacement chair has been appointed and established in the role, but he will step down from the Orion board before he becomes Chair of CCHL.
Jeremy Smith has excellent commercial skills and will be well-suited to leading CCHL in its important role of managing the relationship with the Council and with CCHL subsidiary companies.
