No stranger to yap, Alan has yapped his way around the UK and Ireland and now it’s New Zealand’s turn with his brand new, highly anticipated stand up show Yap, Yap, Yap!

The national tour will go to Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch this August.

Since winning the BBC New Comedy Award for Stand Up as well as City Life Best Newcomer of the Year in 2001, Alan Carr has become one of the hottest comedy stars in Britain.

The success of his television series Alan Carr: Chatty Man in 2009, led to Channel 4 commissioning umpteen further series, and has won several television awards and is now booked to continue into 2016.

Alan Carr: Chatty Man is now firmly established as one of the UK’s favourite entertainment television shows. Guests on the show over the years have included Lady Gaga, Robin Williams, Taylor Swift, One Direction,

Justin Bieber, Russell Brand and every other A-lister in the land!

“A comedian who owns the space he is working in so much, he could put a flag up”

The Independent

Alan released his autobiography Look Who It Is? in 2008. He co-presented Comic Relief on BBC One in 2008 as well as joining the Men’s Team for Comic Relief Does The Apprentice alongside Jonathon Ross, Gerald Ratner, Gok Wan and Jack Dee. His team lost and Alan was fired (or as Alan Sugar put it, I’m doing you a favour). He has been a supporter of Comic Relief ever since.

In 2002 his Edinburgh Festival show Me ‘Ead’s Spinnin’ earned a 4-star review in Edinburgh bible, The List and was the Telegraph’s Critic’s Choice. In 2003 I Love Alan Carr was rated a 4-star show in both

The Scotsman and The Independent, but it was after the 2005 Edinburgh Festival that things really started to happen. He earned 5-star reviews across the board as well as numerous Pick Of The Fringe accolades.

It was there that Alan came to the attention of the Channel 4 bigwigs. He has since appeared at comedy festivals all around the world including Montreal’s Just For Laughs, Melbourne Comedy Festival and Kilkenny.

Alan doesn't just perform for commoners; he has performed for Her Majesty The Queen at the Royal Variety Performance too!

“An absolute natural on stage… a born storyteller, sheer entertainment”
