Youthline needs a superhero like you!
Superhero clad volunteers are needed to line the streets of the Auckland region to help Youth development organisation Youthline raise vital funds for it's National Helpline on Sunday May 29th and Monday May 30th.
Join the team and contact events@youthline.co.nz to get involved.
Youthline Auckland CEO Stephen Bell says volunteers are the foundation of the organisation.
“Each year we work with over 38,000 young people around New Zealand - there’s no shortage of young people in need of support.”
“That support wouldn’t be so accessible if it weren’t for our many volunteers who give up their time to be there for others”, he adds.
“What many people don’t realise is that we receive very little funding to run the helpline and rely on donations from individuals and organisations – every dollar counts, so we ask you to please give generously.”
So get involved and support us so we are able to continue supporting young people around New Zealand.
The appeal runs from 7am until 6pm and collectors will be stationed all around Auckland.
This year the Annual Street Appeal is being run in conjunction with Youth Week which runs from May 21 -29.
Youthline has been supporting young people for over forty five years, offering free, non-judgmental counselling and advice.
Anyone needing support should phone our helpline which is free to call and available 24/7 0800 37 66 33 or free text 234 between 8am and midnight, chat online from 7pm-11pm each evening.
