Free Concert - Auckland Wind Orchestra & Auckland Youth Symphonic Band

We are holding a FREE CONCERT entitled "Classics" at the Mangere Arts Centre on Sunday 12 June from 2.00pm - 4.30pm.

We are two community wind orchestras, with players of all ages and all professions ranging from school and university students, to professional adults and retirees. This is our annual concert where we both groups play, AYSB the first half, AWO the second half.

We are have great repertoire with all the old favourites that many of us grew up with including:

"The Flintstones" - Can we ever forget the cat locking Fred out of the house?

"Fly Me to the Moon"

"Mission Impossible"

"A Whiter Shade of Pale"

"Thank You for the Music" - An Abba favourite!

"Fantasia on the Dargason" - From Holst's Suit No. 2

"Titanic" - There always has to be at least ONE piece to make you cry

"Oh Henry" - A rousing march to stomp your feet to
