Board warns Wellingtonians to exercise caution
The Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board (PGDB) is warning consumers in the Wellington region, to exercise caution
in relation to Graham Lilley, who was recently convicted and sentenced in relation to his fraud of Christchurch
residents (under the company name Alligator Drainage) after the February 2011 earthquake.
The PGDB warns consumers that, Mr Lilley (also known as Gabrielle Tiger Lilley) is now based in Wellington and involved
with a Lower Hutt Drainlaying business, Drain Masters and is not authorised to carry out restricted drainlaying work.
The Board has received a number of reports from consumers about this company and Mr Lilley’s activities in the
Wellington area and is conducting an ongoing investigation into those activities.
PBDB Chief Executive, Martin Sawyers say “if consumers have any concerns about Mr Lilley undertaking restricted work
himself or arranging for other people to do that work they are encouraged to contact the Board immediately.”
