Dining packages for trotting carnival still available

The second and final night of the Autumn Trotting Carnival will be held tomorrow with Alexandra Park hosting some of New Zealand’s best harness racing action.

The Friday 29 April premier meeting will include four Group One races namely the Breckon Farms Northern Trotting Derby, Magness Benrow Sires Stakes Fillies Championship, 2016 Canam Rowe Cup, and the Dawson Harford & Partners NZ Messenger.

Alexandra Park chief executive Dominique Dowding says dining packages are still available in the Tasman Room for its highly regarded carvery at only $50 per person.

“It’s set to be another great night of racing under lights and this dining package is exceptional value. The Tasman Room is a prime viewing spot with floor to ceiling windows and plenty of atmosphere - perfect for couples, friends or colleagues who are looking for a quality hospitality experience and a lot of fun,” says Ms Dowding.

General admission for the public into Alexandra Park as well as parking remain free tomorrow, and race-books are also complimentary. The first of the 10 races on tomorrow night’s card is set down for 5.43pm with the last at 10.13pm.

Other upcoming race night events at Alexandra Park include an inaugural Mexican Night on Friday, 6 May with tickets just $55 per person. What’s more the popular Mid-Winter Christmas Party experience and packages are returning, starting at only $65 per person on the Friday nights of 24 June, 1 July, 8 July, and 15 July.
