Gallagher to Support Cyclone-affected Fiji
Gallagher, Gallagher Family Hospice and the Gallagher Chiefs Unite to Support Cyclone-affected Fiji
HAMILTON, NEW ZEALAND – Gallagher has teamed up with the Gallagher Family Hospice, the Gallagher Chiefs and Sport Waikato to supply an aid shipment in support of cyclone-affected Fiji.
Gallagher’s Community Liaison Manager, Margaret Comer, says that the organisations are committed to offering support to Fiji and it’s an initiative that will hopefully make a huge difference to the wellbeing of the people of Fiji.
“At Gallagher, we have a long history of helping communities. This is the strongest cyclone to hit Fiji and it’s destroyed many towns and villages - it will take them a long time to recover from this disaster. Gallagher, and our partner organisations, want the Fijian people to know that we’re committed to supporting them through this hugely difficult time. Our thoughts and best wishes are with everyone affected as they rebuild their lives and businesses”.
Gallagher have supplied a 20-foot shipping container which will include essential recovery items such as household and building supplies. In a more light hearted gesture, Gallagher Chiefs gear for the children ahead of the team’s game in Fiji this July will also be delivered.
Anyone wishing to contribute quality items such as tarpaulins, tents, corrugated iron, tools, non-electric cooking equipment, bed linen, towels, blankets, clothes, small toys, or rugby gear including clean rugby balls, boots, and jerseys can provide them to the Hospice Waikato Mega Warehouse on Lake Road in Hamilton.
Gallagher staff, members of the Gallagher Chiefs squad and the Gallagher Family Hospice will work to sort donations and pack the container early next month.
