Phil Goff wrong on Auckland police stations
closing to the public
Phil Goff’s claim tonight that Auckland police stations are closing to the public is false, says Auckland Mayoral candidate Vic Crone.
"I have spoken to the Minister of Police who assures me, that to the best of her knowledge, Phil Goff’s claims are untrue and plainly speaking utter garbage”, says Vic Crone.
“This is more scaremongering from Labour, something its MPs have become very good at of late. Unfortunately, in this instance, Phil Goff is also smearing the good name of the New Zealand Police in the process. I find that unacceptable.
Ms Crone says it is also evident Phil Goff is blatantly using his parliamentary position and resources to campaign for the Auckland Mayoralty.
"A quick look at his written parliamentary questions to the Minister of Police in recent times show they all relate to Auckland and many relate to issues he has commented on as a Mayoral candidate.
“Phil Goff should decide whether he is an MP or a candidate for Mayor of Auckland, both are full time jobs and both deserve his full attention.”
