Motor vehicle collision - Bay of Plenty

Police are currently in attendance on State Highway 29, Kaimai where two trucks have collided. No injury has been sustained, however the road has now been reduced to a single line of traffic flow for all converging vehicles. The road is expected to be have reduced flow for some period of time to allow heavy transport equipment to remove goods from the vehicles and further allow the trucks to then be removed from the scene.

The collision scene is identified as being on State Highway 29, one kilometre up the Kaimai Ranges from the Matamata end of the hills. Motorists should avoid travelling on the road at this time or seek alternative routes into or out of Tauranga.
