Wellington Police continue to investigate the homicide that occurred at about 9.50 am Wednesday the 30th of April 2016 at a residential address in Mahora Street, Kilbirnie, Wellington.
Police can now confirm the identity of the Victim.
He is 66 year old Kiong Thai TAN [known as Bill].
He was a resident of an address in Mahora Street, Kilbirnie, Wellington.
Officer in Charge of the Wellington Area CIB, Detective Senior Sergeant Warwick McKee
states “ We are continuing to provide his family and friends with support through this difficult period “.
A 49 year old Wellington Male has been arrested and charged with the Murder of Mr.
TAN.
He appeared in the Wellington District Court yesterday.
