New Chief Executive Officer for the Pahauwera Development Trust - Robin Hape
Tēnā koutou katoa,
Ngāti Kahungunu Iwi Incorporated would like to congratulate Robin Hape for taking up the position of the Chief Executive Officer for the Pahauwera Development Trust. Robin was formally welcomed at a pōhiri held at Waipapa-a-iwi Marae this morning. Robin has had 30years experience working in government and non-government organisations such as Māori Affairs, Hawke’s Bay District Health Board, Ministry of Fisheries and most currently he has worked for Te Whare Wananga o Awanuiarangi through delivery of community and tertiary education to marae. Robin is also the Chairman of the Kahuranaki Marae Trustees and is heavily involved in marae/hapū development. During his kōrero today, he recalled that as a young man entering the mainstream workforce he was embraced by Marjorie Joe, of Pahauwera descent, who took him under her wings as a young trainee at Māori Affairs. After 30years of experience in the workforce, Robin is pleased to be able to give back to Ngāti Pahauwera.
