Skippers Bridge Closed
The Skippers Bridge has been closed pending inspection by a structural engineer.
QLDC has taken this action this afternoon after concerns were raised by a member of the public.
We anticipate the bridge will be inspected in the morning (Thursday) and we will provide an update once we know the
outcome of the inspection.
The bridge receives a routine inspection every two years with a detailed inspection every six years. The last
load-bearing test was completed in 2014.
