Popular Positive Ageing Expo Returns
Friday 1 April, 10.00 am – 2.30 pm at the Headingly Centre, Richmond
Thousands are expected to attend the popular annual Positive Ageing Expo, a showcase of the recreational, health and social services available in the region for those of or nearing retirement age.
With more than 70 stallholders, the expo has plenty to offer anyone interested in making ageing a positive experience.
The expo attracts crowds of more than 2000 most years, and has received a TrustPower Community Award commendation.
This year there will be seminars, demonstrations, the chance to have a go at a range of activities such as tai chi, Nordic walking, Sit and Be Fit, as well as quick health checks.
There will also be the opportunity to talk to Tasman District Council staff and councillors about the Council’s plans and priorities for the coming year.
