Resident Opinion Survey

Resident Opinion Survey

1 MARCH 2016
Kāpiti residents are being asked their opinion on the service the council provides.

Key Research Ltd will be carrying out a telephone survey of 400 residents this month. Council Chief Executive Pat Dougherty says the annual survey is designed to get feedback from the community and identify any gaps or perceived performance issues in service delivery.

“It is important to hear from the people who use Council services on a day to day basis about how they are experiencing those services and activities.”

“Key Research will make it very clear at the beginning that they are seeking the views of residents on the delivery of council services. To ensure the survey gathers the views of a representative sample of residents, people will be asked where they live, their gender and age and then a series of questions on council services. The interview takes at least 15 minutes.”

“The survey is an annual event and similar to those undertaken by many other councils around New Zealand. The information gathered will help council target areas where service delivery needs to change.”

Members of the public could begin receiving calls from late this week (4 March) Once processed, the results will be presented to the Council and then be available for public release.
