Fun and Games in Flaxmere
Fun and Games in Flaxmere
It was all fun
and games in Flaxmere on Thursday night, with more than 200
children and their whanau rocketing around an obstacle
course.
The 230 entries were well up on the previous
year’s 150, said organiser and Triathlon Hawke’s Bay
general manager Mike Bond.
The course had 10 obstacles, the same as previously, but over a shorter length course, one kilometre rather than two.
It proved ideal, said Mr Bond. “Some of the young ones went around four or five times, it was great to see them coming back for more. Some went round as families, which was just great. It has become an event that is really well supported by the community.”
