Diamonds are a girl’s best friend at duty free retailer
It’s said that diamonds are a girl’s best friend and that is definitely the case for a very lucky grandmother of eight
from South Auckland.
Earlier this week Malia Jahnke, 58, was presented with a stunning 1ct diamond valued at $7,500 NZD by Triple Rock Vodka
Director, Stuart Williamson.
Jahnke was the winner of a Diamond Promotion which was exclusive to The Loop Duty Free at Auckland Airport. To qualify
for the draw, shoppers had to purchase a bottle of any of the unique Triple Rock vodka between December and February.
When Malia made her ‘lucky’ purchase she was travelling to Samoa with her daughter, son in law and seven grand children.
Malia says; “I’ve spent my life raising my children and have never won anything before. I am grateful to Triple Rock and
The Loop Duty Free for giving me this opportunity. I will most likely have the diamond made into a ring at some stage
but in the meantime, I have someone storing it securely for me.”
