New Tractors, Utes and Breeding Companies To Be On Show at 2016 Field Days
There will be plenty for people to do see and experience at this years Northland Field Days from March third to March fifth in Dargaville say organisers.
With grounds almost being booked to capacity, with exhibitors coming from a far afield as Australia organisers say there will be something for everybody at the event, Northland’s biggest annual outdoor event.
Approximately 90% of the sites had been booked as early as December 2015 according to event organiser Meagan Edmonds who says that a number of the exhibitors had a lot of interesting products on offer.
North Auckland automotive dealership Winger motors will be attending the Northland Field Days for the first time, with Winger Motors general sales manager Jason MacDonald looking at it as a way to present buyers with never seen before, 2016 models of Chrysler Jeep and Dodge SUVs and commercial vehicles.
MacDonald says, the event’s reach made the decision to attend the event a ‘no-brainer’.
"We have just taken over New Zealand’s northernmost franchise for Jeep and the Field Days presented a chance to connect with a wide range of customers."
Another company looking to re-enter the Northland market at the event is Worldwide Sires.
Company general manager Hank Lina says the company has gone through a rebranding process and was on target to offer farmers a source of genetic material free from the potential of inbreeding.
"We are able to draw on the widest range of genetic material in the world so there is no chance for any inbreeding with the herd."
"We’re looking forward to getting into Northland and having a conversation with farmers about our products and services."
Farmers looking for larger equipment would have plenty of new gear to choose from as well says organisers with new Massey Ferguson and Kubhota tractors likely to be present a the show.
AGCO New Zealand manager Peter Scott plans to show off the 90 - 100hp Massey Ferguson 5700 range of tractors at the event, a non cab range he expects to be popular due to the specifications and value for money.
This combination will appeal to customers looking for a tractor loader package with good hydraulic performance, ample power and ease of use.
Held in Dargaville, two and a half hours Northwest of Auckland, 40 minutes west of Whangarei and one hour South of Kaikohe the Northland Field Days is a fun three day event from February 26 to February 28. Free parking is available close to showgrounds with regular public transport running to and from the event.
