Judy Bailey hosts a Charity Auction for Women’s Refuge
Judy Bailey ONZM, Patron for Women’s Refuge NZ will host a Charity Auction on Friday March 18th at the Bolton Hotel in Wellington. Tickets are available for purchase now, with proceeds supporting services provided across New Zealand to women and children experiencing domestic violence.
Ms Bailey is a long-time supporter of Women’s Refuge, sharing their belief that all women and children have the right to safe and violence free lives.
“Every child in this country of ours deserves the best possible start and sadly many of our children are growing up in violent, abusive homes. I believe the work of Refuge is vital in breaking the cycle. The impact of violence on people’s lives is real and long lasting and it affects each and every one of us in some way. By raising funds to help Refuge in its work we can be a part of the solution, says Ms Bailey.”
Well-known New Zealand songstress and MC for the evening, Tina Cross, will oversee the event with support from music act the Myele Manzanza Trio and Auctioneer Sabine Davidson from Bayleys Real Estate.
“There are some outstanding auction items going under the hammer,” says Dr Ang Jury, Chief Executive of Women’s Refuge. “Local businesses have generously supported the event including the Bolton Hotel and its suppliers.”
Auction items up for sale on the night include; a private screening at Lighthouse Cinema for 32 people; dinner, dessert and theatre packages in Wellington; Champagne Package; Members’ Lounge passes at the Westpac Stadium; art from Gabriel Heimler and Anna Proc and other NZ Artists; plus much more.
The Bolton Hotel Cocktail Auction Fundraiser will be held on Friday March 18th from 6 – 9 pm. More information and tickets can be found at https://cocktails-and-charity-auction-hosted-by-judy-bailey.lilregie.com/step1 . Tickets are $50 per person.
