4 vehicle crash, Putaruru

The Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to SH1, south of Putaruru late this afternoon, to the scene of a 4-vehicle crash. One man, in his 30’s, the driver of one of the vehicles, was flown to Waikato Hospital with abdominal and chest injuries; several others, including 2 children, were transported via road ambulance to Tokoroa Hospital.
