TEDxWellington sells out in two minutes

The anticipation of a top secret venue, and inspiring local talks, had TEDx fans in a frenzy today with all tickets selling out in two minutes.

“This is the fastest we have ever sold out. We’re blown away with the interest from TEDx fans across the Wellington region,” said TEDxWellington founder and license holder, DK. “This support continues to validate the effort and energy from all the team who devote their free time to this non-profit event.”

“Luckily those who missed out can still watch the event live on Saturday 5 March at libraries, and other venues, throughout Hutt City and the greater Wellington region. These venues are running their own free livestream events which people can attend in their local communities,” he said.

The following venues are hosting their own TEDxWellington livestream screenings: Hutt City Libraries at War Memorial Library, Eastbourne Library, Wainuiomata Library, Naenae Library and the Walter Nash Centre’s Taita Library, plus Wellington Central Library and the Roxy Cinema.

More venues will be added to this list in the coming weeks. Any venues that would like to host a livestream event are encouraged to make contact with TEDxWellington.

TEDxWellington is putting together a unique experience for TED fans in the Wellington region once again. The full-day events theme is ‘Trust’, with key details - the venue locations, speakers and programme - only being revealed to ticket-holders on the day.
