Published: Fri 15 Jan 2016 10:18 AM
SCIRT traffic update: Week starting Monday, 18 January 2016.
Please allow extra time for travelling on popular commuter routes and consider others if possible because the roads will be busier this coming week as more people return to work after the Christmas-New Year holidays.
Woodham Rd - Gloucester St intersection, restrictions for about 4 months
• From Monday 18 January wastewater repairs will result in lane reductions and turning restrictions at the Woodham Rd - Gloucester St intersection.
• Temporary lights will be in place to help traffic flow.
• Northbound traffic along Gloucester St will not be permitted to go straight ahead through the intersection.
Burlington St, Sydenham, one-way
From 11 January for about 4 weeks , Burlington St, off Brougham St, will be closed to traffic going south between Brougham St and Colombo St for wastewater repairs. Burlington will have only a one-way route going north.
Beach-goers - Marine Parade, New Brighton, partly one way for 2 months
Marine Parade has a progressive one-way system between Beach Rd and Pacific Rd for southbound traffic for about 2 months for road renewal.
For stage one , traffic going north will detour from Marine Pde into Pandora St, Brittannia St, Beach Rd and back onto Marine Parade.
