Countdown to Christchurch’s biggest Christmas party!
The excitement is building as Christchurch gets ready to kick off the festive season with a night of spectacular entertainment from some of the country’s biggest stars and hottest new talent.
Headline acts Stan Walker (pic left) and Anika Moa (pic centre) will star with Marley Sola (pic right) Vince Harder, Lavina Williams, Esther Stephens, Nyree Huyser, Ben Lummis, and Shaun Petterson at Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park on Saturday night at Hagley Park starting at 7.30pm.
They’ll join backing vocalists Anna Grahame, Paul Fagamalo and Nate Dousand, local singing sensation Ashy Batchelor, entertainer Rutene Spooner and singer Stevie Tonks. They’ll be backed by a seven piece world class touring band, and joined throughout the night by dancers from seven different dance troupes.
Hosted by popular broadcaster and dancing star MORE FM’s Simon Barnett, Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park is Christchurch’s biggest free community gathering.
Chris Litchfield from Coca-Cola NZ said, “We’re just as excited about this year’s show as we were when we held the first show nearly 22 years ago. Once again we have a brilliant line-up of talent who’ll deliver a truly spectacular show for Christchurch. Best of all, many of the performers are locals and Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park gives them the chance to perform in front of a huge home grown audience.”
Coca-Cola NZ have partnered with TV2 to broadcast a 90 minute special on Sunday 13 December which will feature highlights from the Christchurch and Auckland events.
Once again, Coca-Cola NZ is supporting Youthline and encourages concert-goers to be generous on the night and bring a gold coin donation.
