Te RūnangaĀ-­Iwi O Ngāpuhi Chair to take leave of absence

Te Rūnanga­Ā-­Iwi O Ngāpuhi Board chair Raniera Tau is taking for personal reasons, a leave of absence from his positions of chairman and trustee for a period of 12 weeks effective from 19th October 2015.
Carol Dodd, current Deputy Chair will be the Acting Chair in his absence.
Mrs Dodd says that it is business as usual at Te RūnangaĀ­Iwi O Ngāpuhi and for all Rūnanga group operations and companies.
Mrs Dodd said Mr Tau will also be taking a leave of absence from all his Rūnanga representative roles, including the Rūnanga’s representative on settlement entity Tuhoronuku Independent Mandated Authority (TIMA).
The appointment of the Rūnanga representative to TIMA and role of the Acting Deputy Chair for the Rūnanga will be confirmed at the Board’s next meeting.
Mr Tau has asked for privacy for he and his whānau.
