Dance Concert to benefit South Auckland School
Takanini School in association with SYDNKT Dance Crew invites the community to their Dance Concert to raise funds for school IT equipment.
The concert starts at 5pm at Takanini School on Saturday the 7th of November.
Headline acts include Lapi Mariner, Smashproof’s Tyree and X Factor Finalist Malcolm Lakatani.
Crews performing at the concert have competed both nationally and internationally and want to WOW Audiences.
Principal Margaret Aikman said “This concert is great for our students, families and our community as it aligns with our school value of striving for personal excellence. We are pleased to help host this event and are especially excited about the new ICT equipment that will help our students become digital citizens”.
Concert Organiser Nathan Siosiua says “We are passionate about our local community and even more passionate about seeing young Maori and Pasifika succeed. We are happy to bring this event to South Auckland where we grew up. We want to give back to the place we grew up”.
SYNDKT Dance Crew Member Nik Siosiua says “It is an honour to share Dance with Children and Young People. I am really happy that we can help the School too”.
Organisers hope to raise $10,000 which will go directly to the school. They are hopeful that the money raised will benefit student learning and give them life -long skills.
