One arrested after crashing into police vehicle
At approximately 7.20am a vehicle failed to stop for police near Edgecumbe.
It was pursued along a number of rural roads before heading towards Whakatane.
Police deployed spikes and the vehicle continued on its wheel rims.
A short time later at the SH30 Coastlands roundabout, the vehicle collided with a police car and struck a car belonging to a member of the public.
No one was injured and one man has been arrested.
