Avoid Auckland’s Southern Motorway
The NZ Transport Agency is advising motorists to avoid the Southern Motorway (SH1) southbound following a serious crash between the Ellerslie-Penrose and Mount Wellington interchanges.
Traffic is congested from the Auckland Harbour Bridge through to Ellerslie and is continuing to build.
The Police Serious Crash unit is investigating and it could be some time before the incident is cleared.
It’s currently taking more than 80 minutes to travel between the city and Manukau.
