"Man dies after slipping on ice"

Southern Police can confirm a 22 year-old male has died after slipping on ice near Treble Cone just after 1.00pm today.

Police and Alpine Cliff Rescue attended the incident and found the male about an hour later.

Police are working to advise the family of the male.

The death has now been referred to the coroner.
