SH35 motorists urged to check road conditions
The NZ Transport Agency advises motorists travelling to and from Opotiki on State Highway 35 to check road conditions before leaving home this weekend.
Contractors are monitoring a section of highway near Maraenui Hill, where a slip closed the road earlier this week and the Transport Agency says the road may be closed again overnight or tomorrow if there is heavy rain.
For the latest highway information check the Transport Agency’s website: www.nzta.govt.nz
or sign up to www.onthemove.govt.nz or up-to-date information on what is happening on the route you plan to travel.
