Multiple vehicle accident - SH1
The Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to Hatepe Hill on SH1, south of Taupo, at approximately 6 pm this evening to attend a multiple vehicle accident.
The Waikato Team were joined by Rotorua's BayTrust Rescue Helicopter, both helicopters were required due to the number of patients requiring immediate transportation to hospital facilities.
The Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter transported two patients who were reported as being father and daughter. Both had sustained serious injuries in the accident and they were taken directly to Waikato Hospital for treatment.
