Rosebank Road on-ramp closure delayed

Rosebank Road on-ramp closure delayed – other SH16 works to go ahead as planned

A closure and diversion due to take place on the citybound on-ramp at Rosebank Road on the Northwestern Motorway (SH16) this weekend (September 25) have been delayed due to weather.

The Rosebank Road on-ramp will remain open throughout this weekend and a diversion which would have meant motorists were unable to enter the citybound motorway from the Rosebank Road on-ramp will also be delayed by a week.

Other road works around the Great North Road-Waterview Interchange and the St Lukes Road Interchange will go ahead as planned.

St Lukes Road Interchange

The citybound Western Springs off-ramp will be closed from 8pm Friday 25 September until 5am Monday 28 September so work can be done to rebuild and widen the existing off-ramp. Citybound traffic will need to exit the motorway at either the Waterview/Great North Rd off-ramp or the Newton Road off-ramp

Great North Road Interchange

A new layout will come into use next Monday (28 September) at the west-bound exit of the interchange, which takes traffic on to Great North Road and to Pt Chevalier. The off-ramp itself remains open, but the existing 200 metre-long exit lane approaching it will be closed. Traffic wanting to use the off-ramp will have to exit from the current westbound motorway lanes.
